 Elvie Zell is a wonderful Artist who we began working with in the 1990’s in Washington DC when our Gallery featured all animal imagery on Contemporary American Craft.

We kept Elvie Zell extra busy after we introduced her to the concept of doing DOGS on her enamel Work – in addition to Cats. It was the running joke. Elvie was a fellow vegan, a lover of all animals, and an animal rescue person – and cats were her specialty.

Many whimsical and soulful enameled dog and cat Jewelry – all with her signature pink paws (in her pins) and smiling faces - found their way from her Cleveland Studio to our Gallery - into the hearts of many happy customers. 

It was a very sad day when arthritic hands caught up with Elvie and under doctor’s orders, she reluctantly stopped crafting her beloved, labor intensive enamel on copper Jewelry.

We really miss Elvie Zell’s Work in our Gallery.

These special pieces of jewelry are the only remaining pieces left in the World –as far as we know!
